This Saturday's excursion was to Toledo.
I am in love. It was the perfect town.
Anything that you have ever dreamed that Spain should be, Toledo is.
Crooked little one lane roads not made for cars.
Beautiful cathedrals, tile roofs, hot summer days, and a rich and diverse history.
It takes your breath away.
Toledo is known for it's rich cultural background and historical significance in the Spanish Civil War.
There is a strong Christian, Muslim, and Jewish presence that lives together.
There was a festival going on while we were there.
The Catholic holiday of Corpus Cristi. So, the town was all deck out and decorated.
It was so interesting to see there culture in that way.
I think that today the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words" applies beyond measure.
So, that's what I'm going to do.
I hope that you, too, will fall in love with Toledo.
Toledo.
There was also a lace making festival.
The most beautiful lace I have ever seen.
